With this belief, at Presidium, students of Grade- 3 celebrated National Voters' Day virtually to spread the importance of exercising one's voting rights. Students were actively involved in the analysis that the responsible citizen always votes, as voting is a crucial part of democracy. The theme for National voters' Day 2021 is "Making our voters Empowered, vigilant, safe, and informed." Through the virtual assembly, Presidians highlighted the importance of the day through discussions, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, etc. Our young learners designed incredible posters with interesting slogan writing to depict the purpose of the celebration. STUDENTS ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WINTER SEASON

The Winter season is really a wonderful season with a lot of joy, wonder, and excitement. Hilly areas look very beautiful throughout the winter season as everything gets covered by the ice and gives an outstanding look like scenery. Flowers of many colors blossom when the sun rises and give the scene a new look. We at Presidium give hands-on experience to students and tell them the importance of every season. Also, to make them learn the food eaten in the winter season, the students were involved in Vegetable salad-making activities and observing their mother's while making gajar ka halwa, Pinni, Ladoo etc. The students were very much excited to show their favourite winter food. Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour.

PRESIDIANS ENHANCE PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS WITH PATTERN ACTIVITY

Patterns are an intrinsic part of our world- one can find them in nature, art, math, music, and almost everywhere and all around us. Learning to recognize, identify, extend, and create designs is an essential skill that helps lay the foundation of advanced math skills. With this belief, we at Presidium conducted few activities related to Patterns and gave our young Presidians of Grade-1 hands-on experience with concrete materials. They observed patterns around them and showcased them with blocks, shapes, symbols, matchsticks, colors, fruits, vegetables, leaves, rangoli, legos, animal bodies, etc. Students also participated in the rhythmic clapping game, where different patterns were practiced by clapping hands. Pattern recognition activities help to reinforce understanding of basic math concepts in students. These interesting activities developed problem-solving and critical thinking skills in the leaders of tomorrow.

Army day is celebrated on January 15 every year to commemorate the day when(then) Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over General Sir Francis Butcher as Commander- in Chief of India in January 1949. The day is celebrated to honour our country’s soldiers, who set the most exceptional example of selfless service and brotherhood, and above all, love for the country. Students enthusiastically participated and recited poems; they shared quotations and interesting facts about the Indian Army.

CELEBRATING THE FESTIVAL OF GRAND BONFIRE WITH GLOW OF NEW HOPES

“Phir a Gayi Bhangre ki bari,Lohri Manane ki karo Taiyari,Aag ke pass saare aao,Sundariye Mundariye jor se gao”
Lohri is the celebration of the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice. It is a harvest festival that is passionately celebrated by Sikhs. This festival is celebrated to welcome the new financial year of farmers in accordance with the Bikrami Calendar. The celebrations of Lohri start early in the morning, and people wish each other with great enthusiasm. And with this passion for the festival, the students of Presidium celebrated Lohri with great enthusiasm virtually, in which teachers and students shared about the importance of Lohri and why it is celebrated. The celebration was carried with students' mesmerizing performances, which included speeches, rhymes, Punjabi folk song dance, and sharing their crafts on Lohri. It was indeed a great feeling to witness and celebrate this auspicious day.

STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE IDEALS & PRINCIPLES OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA

The National Youth Day is celebrated on 12 January every year on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda since 1985. The Government of India in 1984 declared that the young Indians should be inculcated with the ideals and principles of Swami Vivekananda so that they can contribute and help to develop the country judiciously. To propagate this belief, a special assembly on National Youth Day was held on 12 January to enlighten students of Presidium about the life, philosophy, and teachings of Swami Ji and how the right direction and decision-making of the youth would make it possible to bring about the desired changes in the world to make it a better place for all living beings. Enthusiast Grade IV students gave thought-provoking speeches, presented beautiful skits and energetic dance performances. Through this assembly, students were given a message that they should follow Swami Vivekanand's ideology to make their lives successful and contribute to making India a proud nation.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE NEW YEAR WITH GREAT FERVOUR

Each year, around the globe, New Year's Day is celebrated with great fervour and merry-making. A new year marks a new beginning, giving us a message to leave behind the past and work towards a better tomorrow. Keeping this in mind, Presidium had conducted New Year Celebration for its students to provide them with an opportunity to reflect on the best thing about the year 2020 and sharing plans and aspirations for the year 2021. Students enjoyed every bit of the celebration as while eating snacks, they presented enchanting performances like danced, songs, impressive magic show and puppet show. They had also taken the responsibility of making this new year 2021 a better, healthier year for them by resolutions. The celebration ended with a message that we will make this planet a better place to live by being a better version of ourselves.

PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE VARIOUS REASONS BEHIND MIGRATION

Migration is the result of a combination of reasons that incite or force a person to leave his/her native place (push factor) and draw him/her to a particular destination (pull factors). Students of grade IV at Presidium explored the theme of Migration and demonstrated their comprehension of Pull and Push factors of Migration through a self-prepared PowerPoint presentation and chart to discuss the various factors that led real families to migrate. This activity was designed to provide facts on the push and pull factors in the migration patterns and how both these factors often work together. They collaborated their research in the field and elaborated ideas effectively through beautiful charts with graphics and related videos. It was a wonderful experience to see these young laurels explaining the topic.

STUDENTS SHOWCASE THEIR CREATIVITY WITH TEXTILE ACTIVITY

"Imagination is the beginning of creation, as it is the reality of the dreamer."
We, at Presidium, conducted an activity under the theme - Textile in TBL subject. Apropos to this virtual activity of "Designing my favorite dress" was organized for Grade III students. It was a channel to explore and encourage creativity in students and offer them a platform to show their skills. Our young Fashion Designers crafted incredible outfits using waste materials, newspapers, flower petals, leaves, food items, pencil shavings, paper-folding, etc. They exhibited great enthusiasm in adding features to their sketches and explained beautifully about their creativity. They have talent and imagination and can create art with just about anything, as they enjoyed each moment with glee, which gave them a sense of achievement and self-confidence in their ability to be inventive. Presidians participated earnestly in the activity, and their efforts were praiseworthy. It was a visual treat to see the young artist giving wings to their imagination.
