“Phir a Gayi Bhangre ki bari,Lohri Manane ki karo Taiyari,Aag ke pass saare aao,Sundariye Mundariye jor se gao”
Lohri is the celebration of the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice. It is a harvest festival that is passionately celebrated by Sikhs. This festival is celebrated to welcome the new financial year of farmers in accordance with the Bikrami Calendar. The celebrations of Lohri start early in the morning, and people wish each other with great enthusiasm. And with this passion for the festival, the students of Presidium celebrated Lohri with great enthusiasm virtually, in which teachers and students shared about the importance of Lohri and why it is celebrated. The celebration was carried with students' mesmerizing performances, which included speeches, rhymes, Punjabi folk song dance, and sharing their crafts on Lohri. It was indeed a great feeling to witness and celebrate this auspicious day.
