Every year on May 11th, India commemorates the National Technology Day to mark the anniversary of Shakti, the Pokhran nuclear test, which was held on that date in 1998. Very few countries worldwide have nuclear power, and India had become one of those elite players and became the sixth nation to join the nuclear club. The day also celebrates the importance of science in everyday life and encourages students to pursue science as a profession. Presidium held a special assembly on National Technology Day to inspire students about the significance of this day. A PowerPoint presentation was shown to acquaint pupils with the facts and information about the glorified role of technology in making our life easier and faster, and informed. Our Young scholars participated and discussed the huge role that technology plays in our everyday lives, like doing our jobs, going anywhere, keeping us healthy, to communicate with people who live far away. They expressed their opinions through presentations and debates on the incredible inventions as well as their advantages and disadvantages.
