Our freedom fighters endured countless sufferings to give Indians their freedom. To commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of our freedom fighters, we at Presidium celebrated Independence Day through a Virtual platform. Our young Presidians displayed patriotism and love for the nation. Our Presidians took a pledge to strive to make India vibrant, strong, and supreme collectively. Our young and aspiring orators took pride while reading the "Achievements of India" and the "Significance of TRICOLOR." The Patriotic song sung by the School choir gave cold shivers to the audience. Above all, the Dance performance of the Grade 2 students left everyone awestruck. Overall the day was celebrated with full enthusiasm and patriotism in the heart. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! JAI HIND!!!

अच्युतम केशवम कृष्ण दामोदरं राम नारायणं जानकी वल्लभं, कौन कहता है भगवान आते नहीं तुम राधा के जैसे बुलाते नहीं। इस भजन को आधार बनाते हुए प्रीसिडियम ने ऑनलाइन क्लासेज के दौरान प्रात: कालीन सभा में कृष्णा जन्माष्टमी के महोत्सव का आयोजन किया। सभा में सम्मिलीत सभी छात्र राधा कृष्णा ग्वालों एवं सखियों की वेशभूषा में बड़े ही मनोहारी प्रतीत हो रहे थे । सभा का आरम्भ छात्रों द्वारा प्रधानाचार्य का स्वागत करते हुए किया गया। तत्पश्चात कार्यक्रम को गीता के उपदेश एवं उनका सार सुनाकर आगे बढ़ाया गया। कक्षा १ और ३ के छात्रों ने नृत्य के द्वारा रासलीला का मंचन किया जिसे देख कर अभी स्तब्ध रह गए। कार्यक्रम का समापन भगवान श्री कृष्णा की झांकियां दिखाकर एवं उन झांकियों का सार बताकर किया गया। श्री कृष्णा गोविन्द हरे मुरारी हे नाथ नारायण वासुदेवा का उच्चारण करके श्री कृष्ण भगवान की स्तुति गायन के साथ कार्यक्रम संपन्न हुआ।

दो या दो से अधिक वर्णों से मिले सार्थक रूप को शब्द कहते हैं जैसे पुस्तक, मकान, जानवर, कमल, इत्यादि। संरचना का आशय नए शब्दों का निर्माण, शब्दों की बनावट और शब्द गठन से है। इसी प्रक्रिया को मूल बनाते हुए कक्षा १ ने शब्द रचना गतिविधि का आयोजन किया। इस गतिविधि के अंतर्गत छात्रों ने शब्दों के जादुई डिब्बे का उपयोग कर वर्णों को मिलाकर शब्दों का निर्माण किया। इसी के साथ छात्रों ने उन शब्दों को चित्रों के साथ भी दर्शाया। कथित गतिविधि में बच्चों की रचनात्मक शैली देखते ही बनती थी। इस गतिविधि के दौरान छात्रों ने अपनी एवं अपने सहपाठियों की शब्दावली में अनेक शब्दों की वृद्धि की एवं अपने शब्द रचना का कौशल भी दर्शाया जो की बेहद प्रशंसनीय हैं।

"NUMBERS HAVE LIFE. THEY ARE NOT JUST SYMBOLS ON PAPER."- Shakuntala Devi Counting numbers is very important to know so that we can understand that numbers have an order and can count numbers easily. The concept of number train was introduced in grade prep to sequence the numbers from 1-35. The quantification was done through concrete objects while grouping the objects. The next step was to arrange the quantities in sequence, which was done with the help of Number Train activity. To develop the number sense effectively in our students, a lot of practice of counting and subitizing was done. The activity proved to be highly beneficial as students learned by doing and arranging the number train's bogies in a sequence of 1-35 on their own. Also, the representation of the bogies in different creative ideas were depicted.

"WELL DONE IS BETTER THAN WELL SAID."- Benjamin Franklin Actions are a great restorer and builder of confidence. Actions always delineate and define you. The students of Presidium Grade prep learned the concept of action words in a fun and amusing way. Students at this age are very expressive and enjoyed doing various actions like jumping, crawling, playing, singing, dancing, eating, as instructed by the teacher. Later fun-filled game SIMON SAYS was also played. After this, the students pen down their actions through drawing and making collages for the same. And again, we successfully proved our theory of "Learning by doing."

Rakshabandhan is an occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between brother and sister, which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. The auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in Presidium. It was aimed at strengthening the bond of love and instilling the virtues of love and harmony among growing Presidians. The students were engrossed in making Rakhi Craft and making beautiful cards for their siblings. Students used their creativity and ingenuity to create dazzling Rakhis. They dressed in traditional clothes for the celebration. The festival was celebrated with full enthusiasm and gaiety.

A FRIEND IS ONE OF THE NICEST THING YOU CAN HAVE AND ONE OF THE BEST THING YOU CAN BE!!! With this beautiful message, Friendship Day was celebrated by Presidium virtually. Friendship Day is an occasion that calls for celebrating the presence of friends in our lives. During this period, we don't want our children to miss out on the fun of being with friends. To make this day a memorable one, our teachers organized a virtual party where the students were involved in fun games and shared good things and remembered their experiences about their friends. The students also made cards and shared them with their friends. The teachers also made them understand how to show respect to each other, be kind to each other, and work together with harmony. The celebration was accomplished after witnessing that pious smile on our students’ faces.

Students of Presidium observed the International Tiger Day with a lot of zeal and fervour. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about the endangered member of the feline family. A special assembly was conducted wherein the students shared speeches, rhymes, and slogans to save tigers. Some of the students were dressed up as tigers, some wore masks and took the pledge to be a saviour of tigers by spreading and creating awareness to SAVE TIGERS. The teachers involved students in making Tiger crafts and posters and sufficed their role as responsible citizens who understood the need and importance of saving tigers to balance the Ecosystem.

Presidium organized an activity in the subject TBL called “Making seasonal trees from paper bag.” It is a great way to teach our students of Grade -2, how innovatively they can reuse brown paper bags to make beautiful seasonal trees. Presidians explored the changes in the appearance of the trees in different seasons. Based on their observations they have created seasonal trees by using paper bags. In connection with representing the seasons, our bright scholars created trees representing different seasons like they added cotton balls for winter, colorful leaves for spring, green leaves for summer and orange / yellow leaves for autumn. It proved to be a fun-filled activity wherein students were acquainted with insight aesthetically, enhancing their fine motor skills and learning about seasons.

Self-expression is a vital part of understanding anything and enjoying it to the fullest. We, at Presidium, strongly believe in freedom of expression. To give voice to the expression, an activity WHO AM I? related to the character description was conducted in grade 3, wherein the students were shown the pictures of their favorite characters and described them by using different describing words.  Our confident Presidians wrote interesting sentences about their favorite characters as well. Through this fun activity, students developed a rich understanding of characters through imagination and interaction. Also, the students enrich their vocabulary being shared in groups by their friends.
