Summer camp is a great opportunity to explore new things and dive into areas you love. The main aim of organising such camps is to engage kids in activities that should be enjoyable and meaningful. Keeping this in mind, a summer camp was organised to overcome the boredom of vacation and learn in an innovative way. Our Summer camp students were engrossed in activities like drawing and painting, art and craft, dancing and skating. Our enthusiastic instructors tried to make everyday a fun filled day with new innovation and enjoyment. Besides the summer camp activities, children also enjoyed movie time, free dance, treasure hunt and fun ‘n’ frolic day. Every day concluded with a small takeaway that brought a smile on their faces.

Under the theme ‘MYSELF’, our young inventive students of grade Nursery were engaged in making face masks. The supreme objective behind this activity was to make our Presidians assimilate various body parts. We achieved our objective of quality education for our students through learning and thinking in an interactive way by developing their fine motor skills, creative skills and team building skills.

STUDENTS SPREAD TEACHINGS OF LORD BUDDHA ON BUDDHA PURNIMA

A special assembly on the occasion of Buddha Purnima was recently organised at Presidium to honor the birth and enlightenment of Lord Buddha. The atrium echoed with the chants of “Buddham sharanam gachchami” mantra. Students enacted the anecdotes from his life and his preachings were also shared. Students were told to be kind to others and not to quarrel with each other. Along with this the importance of Yoga was also shared. Our flexible Presidians also gave a captivating and magnificent yoga performance on the occasion .

RECAPITULATION ACTIVITIES IMPROVED PRESIDIANS’ GRAMMAR

‘Grammar is the logic of speech, even as logic is the grammar of reason.’
As we know that grammar is the soul of the language, with this belief, we at Presidium conducted a few interesting and fun filled recapitulation activities for students of Grade 2 which were planned to reinforce the learning of 'Usage of is/are/am' and 'One and Many'. Through these activities, students were exposed to repeated target of grammatical concepts by taking them through oral practice, practically involving them in finding out the answers and listening to their classmates. All students participated and enjoyed the activities which helped them to drill more and polish their understandings in a spirit of positive encouraging environment.

DRAWING & COLOURING COMPETITION: ADDING COLOURS TO THOUGHTS!

Drawing helps children communicate their emotions and feelings. Through the use of different colours, they express themselves without the use of words. Drawing aids children acquire eye hand coordination, mobility skills, aesthetic skills and enhance the creative blend.To let the children explore and express themselves freely a drawing and colouring competition was organised for grades 1 to 3. The students participated with great anticipation and exuberance. Drawing on different topics took the imagination of the students to a different level.

CELEBRATING THE BOND OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE ON MOTHER’S DAY!

माँ वो है जो सुबह सबसे पहले जागती है , माँ वो है जो मेरे हर दर्द मैं दुःखी होती है, माँ वो है जो मेरी हर ख़ुशी में खुश होती है, मै हँसता हूँ तो हँसती है, मैं रोता हूँ तो रोती है। मेरा भगवान मेरी माँ है। मेरी दुनिया मेरी माँ है।
To manifest love, respect, empathy and gratitude to the mothers, we at Dwarka 6 conducted a special assembly on Mother's day. Our students performed on various dance numbers. A small skit was performed to say thanks to mothers for their unconditional love and gestures. Students were engrossed to make handmade items to present their mothers. Beautiful quotes and messages were shared for the mothers. Mothers were invited in the school atrium. To make them feel special, they were welcomed with a flower shower. Their little ones put tika on their forehead. Fun activities and games were conducted for them.The day was observed with full gaiety and enthusiasm.

PRESIDIANS MAKE THEIR ‘NUMBER’ GAME STRONG WITH FUN ACTIVITIES

We at Presidium believe that the objective of a quality education for our students is to acquire the skills associated with learning and thinking in an interactive way. Our inquisitive Presidians got an opportunity to engross themselves in a series of interesting activities wherein, they developed an authentic understanding of place value by helping them construct meaning, quantify the numbers on the basis of expanded notation, through Maan cards, Dienes blocks and an interesting game, 'What's My Number'. They represented the given numbers in expanded form with the help of flash cards knowing when to exchange groups of zero. Followed by another game in which students represented the given numbers in expanded form using Dienes blocks. The interesting activities helped them to solidify their understanding of what a written number really represents in an enjoyable manner

RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION:PRESIDIANS ENJOY THE REALM OF POETRY

Poetry is the core of literature. To spread the fragrance of poetry amongst the students of Nursery and Prep. An Intra Class Rhyme Recitation Competition was organised in the school. Our cute poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and the music of words. The main purpose behind conducting such competitions is to build self confidence, develop the oratory skills and self expression. The winners were applauded and praised for their capabilities.

LITTLE MINDS OF PRESIDIUM LEARN TO MAKE RATTLES

Children learn as they play. Most importantly in play children learn how to learn. Play is our brain's favourite way of learning. Keeping this in mind, under the theme PLAY(TBL) children were engaged in rattle making activity wherein they created their own toy. This activity helped them develop their fine motor skills, enhance creativity and build confidence. It also made them independent learners. So, we at Presidium believe that they all must be allowed to play stamp in puddles, dig in the dirt, go for bug hunt, spoil their clothes, create a garden of fairies as it is this free play make children smarter, healthier and happier.

Dance rejuvenates life, makes one happy, forget all the sorrows, relieves stress. This day commemorates the creator of modern ballet. Various forms of dances are performed all over the world for various purposes. We at PRESIDIUM observed a special assembly on world dance day. The day started with saraswati vandana . Our Presidians gave splendid performances on various dance forms like hip hop, salsa, rajasthani folk, punjabi folk etc. The atrium was enthralled with the foot tapping music of various forms and the day was observed with full happiness, joy and contentment.
