A friend is one who takes your hand and touches your heart. A friend is someone who makes you laugh when you think you will never smile again. One of the best qualities of friendship is to understand and to be understood. To inculcate the bond of friendship amongst our Presidians, we, at Dwarka 6 conducted a special assembly on FRIENDSHIP DAY. Our students showcased a small skit unfolding the truth about friendship that "The  friendship is all about loving, caring and sharing". It's a bond of trust and faith. The day was celebrated with full zest and zeal. Our Presidians were so excited that besides their friends they tied friendship bands to the school head and teachers too. A gala day was observed with full enthusiasm and happiness in the school premises. 

Students of Grade Nursery learnt the spatial concept  that lays foundation for measurement of distance and awareness about directions for higher grades. The students learnt to compare and  identify if the object is up or down. For this the children were given concrete objects and were shown pictorial descriptions.  Besides this, the students were engrossed in kinaesthetic activities like they were taken to the playground to play on see-saw, slides and were made aware of the vocabulary like up and down.  Also, few children were made to stand on a raised platform and others were made to stand down that platform. A famous game "उंच नीच का पापड़ा" was also played with them. At the end of the activity the students were well acquainted with the spatial words in a fun manner. The learnings were made joyful and interesting.

प्रेसिडियम के प्रयोगिक ज्ञान के तत्व को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए प्रेप कक्षा की छात्रों ने एक बड़ी ही दिलचस्प गतिविधि का आयोजन किया | इस गतिविधि के अंतर्गत बच्चे जानवरों की वेशभूषा एवं उनके मुखौटे पहनकर आये | बच्चे  बड़े ही लुभावने और मनमोहक लग रहे थे | इस गतिविधि को करवाने का लक्ष्य बच्चो को जानवरों के विषय  में ज्ञान वृद्धि करवाना था | उन्होंने जानवरों की रेल बनाकर स्कूल का एक चक्कर लगाते हुस सबका मन मोह लिया | इसके पश्चात उन्होंने जानवरों की बारे में चर्चा की जिसमे उन्होंने उनके नाम एवं उनकी विशेषताओं की बारे मेँ अपने सहपाठियों और शिक्षिका को बताया  | बच्चों का उत्साह और आत्मा विश्वास देखते ही बनता था |

“ व्याकरण भाषा का आधार है और भाषा हमारे जीवन का l” हम जीवन में जो भी सीखते है, उसमे मौखिक, लिखित व पठन कौशल का विशेष महत्व हैl इसी को ध्यान में रखते हुए प्रेसिडियम सेक्टर ६ कक्षl २ के छात्रों ने व्याकरण संबंधित दो अवधारणाओ का अभ्यास कियाl इस दौरान उन्होंने तरह-तरह की गतिविधियों द्वारा संज्ञा व प्रश्नवाचक शब्दों  की पुनरावृत्ति कीl उदाहरण स्वरूप  व्यक्ति, वस्तु, स्थान व जानवरों के नामो को पहचान कर अलग–अलग समूह बनाये तथा वाक्य पढकर सही  प्रश्नवाचक शब्दों  का चुनाव कियाl इन रुचिकर गतिविधियों द्वारा खेल–खेल में छात्रों ने उपरोक्त अवधारणाओ की समझ को स्पष्ट व बेहतर बनाया l 

Nelson Mandela International Day is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela on 18th July every year as Mandela's Birthday. He was an extraordinary global advocate for dignity and equality.  To make our Presidians aware about the contributions of the great legend, Nelson Mandela International Day was observed at Presidium Dwarka 6. The students were sensitized towards the issues like equality, generosity, self respect, dignity etc. Our aspiring Presidians were encouraged to imbibe these qualities in them. They confidently shared the quotes of Nelson Mandela and his achievements during the assembly

Well-planned, hands-on activities manifest the learning and makes it effective for students to make connections to real-world situations and hence transfer gained knowledge to long-term memory. Presidium endorsed the ideology, and prosecuted it to foster learning among the students which was observed during the "Food Fair" organized recently for Grade 3. Our young explorers got opportunities to showcase their learning outcomes of theme Food studied in the subject, Environmental Science. They had chosen a regional dish, prepared it and displayed it in the respective food stall. They not only presented the dishes to the guests, but also gave them the information they learned about food like sources of food, its type like (energy giving, bodybuilding, and protective food), and the cooking process used, etc. They also shared how important it is to consume a balanced diet.  It was a tremendous, fun learning experience for them.

It is the Guru that leads you from visible to invisible, from material to divine, from ephemeral to eternal. Today is the day to be grateful to thank, be humble and smile to your Guru who showed you the path of success, victory, truth, goodness, and many other positive traits besides the knowledge within books. On the occasion of Guru Purnima our young Presidians paid their felicitation and salutations to their teachers. A special assembly was conducted in the school atrium. The enchanting of guru mantra hymns were echoing in the school. The students were acquainted to be respectful, humble and thankful to their teachers. To sensitize them with the Guru shishya relationship they were shown the movie of EKLAVYA. The students were given a powerful message to follow the path shown by their teachers and they will lead to success.

Going back to school is a reason for celebration because it means a new step towards a wonderful future! We at Presidium, celebrated “The First day after Vacations” with lot of fun filled activities. A day when the Presidians got a warm welcome by a character loved by everyone “Doraemon”. Other activities like “Feed the monkey”, “Getting Tattooed”, “Trying hands at bowling at the alley”, made the day even more convivial. Shaking a leg on foot tapping numbers, the Presidians enjoyed a lot. To make it an indelible day, the celebrations concluded by the teachers handing over memorabilia to the kids and letting them know that they were missed during vacations.

Flashcards are one of the classic study tools, and for good reason – they promote studying through active recall, which is one of the practices through which our brains learn most effectively. A ‘fun with fruits & vegetables’ activity was recently conducted for students of grade 1 to make them aware of Vegetables and fruits and enhance their reading-listening skills. The children were divided into two groups, Group 1 was given  Flash card of pictures of vegetables and group 2 was given names of the vegetables. Children were excited to find their partner and match the picture with their correct name card. It was a fun-filled activity and also developed reading and promptness in the children.

ज़रूरी नहीं है के सारे सबक किताबों से सीखे जाते है कुछ सबक अपने अनुभव और माहौल से भी सीखे जाते है। 

इस  बात को  ध्यान में रखते हुए प्रेसिडिम की प्रेप कक्षा में स्वर ‘आ’ को सीखाने के लिये एक पूर्व पठन गतिविधि का आयोजन किया गया | इस गतिविधि को प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिए शिक्षिका ने अपनी कक्षा को एक सब्जी बाजार के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया | छात्रों ने उसमे पुरे हर्ष और उल्लास के साथ भाग लिया |  स्वयं सब्ज़ी वाला और ग्राहक बनने से बच्चों के आत्म विश्वास और भाषा कौशल की वृद्धि हुई | बच्चो को दी गईं भूमिका उन्होंने बड़े प्रभावशाली ढंग से नाट्य रूपांतरित की |
