Math is all around us and it nurture qualities like power of reasoning, creativity, abstract or spatial thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and even helps in developing effective communication skills. With this thought, Presidium Dwarka 6 recently organised Maths Week. students participated in numerous activities based on themes like important maths fact, contribution of Indian in mathematics, quiz and world of shapes. Students made attractive charts and models and demonstrated many important mathematical concepts in an interesting and interactive manner. Overall it was successful event which manifested student's interest in Mathematics.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH GAMES AND CAROLS!

Soaking in the spirits of Christmas, Presidians celebrated the festival of gifts and Santa with gaiety. The atrium was festooned with colourful streamers, balloons and brightly decorated backdrops. A special assembly was conducted where in the students enacted the arrival of Jesus Christ. The dance performance on the carols "Jingle bells, Jingle bells" and "Spirit of Christmas" made everyone tap their feet.The game stalls and the Play-zone setup were an add on to the fervor of the festivity. The day was observed with great jubilation and contentedness.

STORY TELLING: PRESIDIANS ENHANCE THEIR ORATORICAL SKILLS

‘To learn to read is to light a fire, every syllable that is spelled out is a spark’. Competitions are the best way to ignite the fire that motivates students to learn and perform. Keeping this in mind an English Story Telling Competition was organised for the students of grade Nursery and Prep. Students were enthused to enhance oratorical skills, conquering stage fright and springing up the confidence of our young marvels. They were dressed according to their story and used suitable props. Presidians showed their extravagant and dazzling amount of energy by bringing out their versatile speaking skills and showcasing their aptness. Their zeal and fondness to speak left us all wonderstruck.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT THE POWER OF LOVE & APPRECIATION

‘People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.’ One of the best way to show our love, care and support is through ‘Appreciation’. We, at Presidium believe that it works as a magic wand for children as they are likely to live upto what you believe of them. A child may not remember everything you say in a day but will always cherish the a simple gestures of appreciation like ‘Wow, Good, Well Done etc’. To encourage this attitude, every student was felicitated with personalised Appreciation certificate stating the unique quality of our confident Presidians. They were delighted to receive the certificates.

YOUNG SPORTSMEN CAPTIVATE ALL AT SUBJUNIOR TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will. Our young aspiring Presidians manifested their audacity and valour in the much awaited annual event, 14th Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championship. One more feather added to the cap as all our participants grabbed medals and certificates. The showcase of their skills and perseverance were a perfect testimony to the marvellous training they have received by our Taekwondo experts. Our presiding have proved that taekwondo is not about fighting, it's about building character.

PRIDEENS SPREAD THE IDEALS OF HUMANITY ON WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free. With this mission Presidium Dwarka 6 conducted a special assembly on Human Rights Day with an aim to make students aware of their basic rights. Students spoke about the significance of Human rights like right to education, right to equality, right to religion etc through speeches and poems. The avid Presidians presented a nukkad natak followed by the mesmerizing dance performance. Students enthralled the audiences by giving meaningful messages. It was indeed a vital day as they took pledge to become better citizens, promote equality and peace for all.

WORLD DISABILITY DAY: RECOGNISE THEM FOR THEIR ABILITIES!

‘My ability is stronger than my disability.’ World Disability Day was observed at Presidium Dwarka 6 with an aim to promote awareness about the needs of people with special needs. Students highlighted the importance of the dignity, rights and well being of people with disabilities. Students shared motivational and inspirational stories of those who overcame their limitations and achieved great heights. Towards the end of the assembly, students spread the message of empathy towards our fellow human beings.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS ENJOY THE WONDERFUL STORY TIME WITH TEACHERS!

Inculcating the habit of reading is one of the important skills necessary for the overall development.. Learning how to read and write opens up infinite opportunities for children giving them an entirely new way to communicate, expand their imagination and learn new things. Yet, more important is to make them learn the art to enjoy what they read. Keeping this in mind, a story reading activity was recently organised at Presidium Dwarka 6 under the theme ‘One Nation Reading Together’. Students and staff was provided various books which they enjoyed reading thoroughly. The activity rejuvenated the mind and spirit of the participants. It was a wonderful session creating a positive impact in our lives.

BUDDING SCIENTISTS EXPLORE THE WORLD OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

‘The science of today is the technology of tomorrow’. To enhance and build scientific temperament among our leaders of tomorrow, Science week (exposition) was recently observed in Presidium Dwarka. Under the guidance and motivation of teachers, the students of Grade 1 & 2 presented various science experiments and explained them with confidence. The main aim behind the event was to enhance the understanding of science and help students see the fun side of Science. Throughout the week various science activities were organised. The experiments were an amalgamation of innovation and curiosity. It included the water cycle, lifecycle of butterfly, evaporation, conductors of electricity, presence of Air, volcanic eruptions etc. The science week was a great success.
