“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured... Only through the right education can a better order of society be built up.” - Jawaharlal Nehru
Children’s Day, celebrated on November 14, is recognized across India to increase awareness of the rights, care, and education of children. The day is held as a tribute to India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Fondly known as “Chacha Nehru” among children, he advocated for children to have fulfilled education. To mark Children’s Day, a fun and motivational assembly was organized where children spoke about the fondness of Nehruji for children. They commemorated the occasion with poems and quotes and got to know about the inspirational life of our great prime minister. According to the theme this year they were also made aware of their rights and the philosophy of Presidium ‘be what you want to be.’ The fun element also was added through games, dance, and fun activities.
