“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go.”
To remind the importance of literacy, World Literacy Day is observed every year on September 8. Literacy helps people live with dignity and makes them self-sufficient. A special assembly was executed by the Students of Grade IV & V to spread the awareness of the importance of learning to read and write. They discussed Malala Yousafzai who fought for education rights for girls. Our thinkers presented speeches and prepared posters with slogan writing. For developing writing proficiency, our pupils were facilitated to maintain a journal which is a fantastic way to do creative writing tasks, as they designed their book covers, bookmarks, etc. For that, they can stretch their creative writing muscles to write poems, stories, songs, whatever they want in their journal. Towards the end of the assembly, our young learners promised to spread awareness for literacy and help in educating one person who is not fortunate to receive an education.
